Pure white filly, one to watch PDF Print E-mail
MEET the Magic Millions filly that has everyone talking.

The four-legged yearling, by star sire Zabeel, is pure white – a first for the thousands of young horses to be sold at the Magic Millions.

Legendary breeder Sir Patrick Hogan said he had never before seen the birth of a white filly.

A close relation to Melbourne Cup winner Might and Power, the filly has success in the bloodlines, which should be enough to attract plenty of interest at the sales.

Horse buyer Natasha Kent said there was a certain "wow factor" about the striking horse, listed as Lot 583 for the sales.

Horse breeder Craig Anderson, from the Amarina Farm horse stud in the Hunter Valley, said the white filly, born in October, 2006, was a rare find. "There are only 17 registered in Australia, and only about 100 worldwide," he said.

The Magic Millions catalogue lists 1811 horses for sale, the most in the event's 22-year history.

More than $100 million will be spent by horse enthusiasts from around the world on the Gold Coast over the next week.
